HOPE Nevis Incorporated Commends the Nevis Literary & Debating Society
Realease Date: March 08, 2010
HOPE Nevis Incorporated would like to commend the Nevis Literary and Debating Society for hosting a successful Leeward Island Debating Competition over the last weekend. The Competition was of a high standard and the topics for each debate were very relevant to the times that we are living in.
HOPE Nevis would like to encourage the members of the Nevis Literary and Debating Society to continue to excel in all spheres of their lives. Their success in hosting an event of such a high standard where there were no negative incidents to mar the enjoyment of the activities, is testament of the character of these youth; not only the youth from Nevis, but those from the participating islands of St. Kitts, Antigua, Anguilla, B.V.I. and Montserrat.
We at HOPE Nevis would like to give special commendation to the Championship St. Kitts Debating Team and the runners-up Nevis Debating Team. Joann, Kris, Krista, Sheldon, Althea and Shanroy we are proud of you! We are extremely proud that in our small Federation, we have been able to produce the two best teams out of the best in the Leeward Islands. We would like to encourage them to continue to develop their craft and to be exemplary role models for other youth of the Federation. High commendations must be given to the males on both teams, Sheldon Henry, Kris Liburd and Shonroy Caesar from Nevis, and Kasim Queeley and Aian Carr from St. Kitts; for participating in positive activities such as these. Thank you for proving that young men are still doing good things and living exemplary lives in our society.
The Directors and Members of HOPE Nevis Incorporated applaud you all.
